Grass Fed Beef Pancreas is a whole food dietary supplement that provides 100% pure bovine pancreas. This whole food provides proteins exclusively expressed in pancreas tissue along with nutrients, cofactors and enzymes that may support pancreatic and digestive health.* Functional healthcare practitioners use glandular therapy to provide absent glandular nourishment that our cells need and expect for strength, health and happiness.
Ancestral Medicine
— Based on the ancient ancestral wisdom that “like supports like.” Consuming pancreas may strengthen and support our own pancreas.* —
Digestion & Nutrient Assimilation
— Pancreatic glandular not only benefits digestion and nutrient assimilation, but may also increase pancreatic reserves. Thereby resting the pancreas in day-to-day functioning.* —
Holistic
— Many naturopathic doctors believe that it is not too much acid but rather a lack of acid that is the problem in addressing indigestion. Naturopathic doctors use measures to enhance rather than inhibit digestion. Commonly used digestive aids include betaine hcl and pancreatic enzymes.* —
BEEF PANCREAS CONTAINS…
- Proteins Exclusively Found And Expressed In Pancreas Tissue
- Pancreatic Enzymes Required To Break Down Fats (Lipase), Proteins (Protease, Trypsin) and Carbohydrates (Amylase)
- Colipase & Trypsin, Pancreatic Peptides Needed To Activate Proteolytic Enzymes
The body has several protective measures that prevent bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. The first is digestive secretions. In particular, hydrochloric acid, bile, and pancreatic enzymes play a critical role in preventing significant numbers of bacteria from migrating up the small intestine. Deficiencies in any of these may promote bacterial overgrowth.*
Pancreatic enzymes may help with food allergies by improving digestion. In order for a food molecule to produce an allergic response it must be a fairly large molecule. In studies performed in the 1930s and 1940s, pancreatic enzymes were shown to be quite effective in preventing food allergies. Typically individuals who do not secrete enough proteases will suffer from multiple food allergies.*

SUGGESTED USE (4 CAPSULES A DAY)
Four capsules provides the equivalent of one ounce of fresh, raw whole bovine pancreas that you’d get from your local farmer (or) butcher.
NXGEN Grass Fed Beef Pancreas is a whole food dietary supplement that can be taken with (or) without food (even though it technically is food). The suggested use is 4 capsules a day or as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Suggested use as a digestive aid is one capsule three times a day immediately before meals — for added support, the dose can be doubled.
- Suggested use for all other purposes is four capsules a day (between meals) on an empty stomach — for added support, the dose can be doubled.
Each capsule contains amylase, protease, trypsin and lipase in the correct physiological amounts that exist in nature. Our product is not a processed, standardised USP extract… it is a whole food dietary supplement for those seeking targeted support in harmony with nature.
What are pancreatic enzymes?
Pancreatic enzymes help break down fats, proteins and carbohydrates. A normally functioning pancreas secretes about 8 cups of pancreatic juice into the duodenum, daily. This fluid contains pancreatic enzymes to help with digestion and bicarbonate to neutralize stomach acid as it enters the small intestine.
Types of Pancreatic Enzymes and Their Effects
Lipase
Effects:
Lipase works with bile from the liver to break down fat molecules so they can be absorbed and used by the body.
Shortage may cause:
- Lack of needed fats and fat-soluble vitamins.
- Diarrhoea and/or fatty stools.
Protease
Effects:
Proteases break down proteins. They help keep the intestine free of parasites such as bacteria, yeast and protozoa.
Shortage may cause:
- Allergies or the formation of toxic substances due to incomplete digestion of proteins.
- Increased risk for intestinal infections.
Amylase
Effects:
Amylase breaks down carbohydrates (starch) into sugars which are more easily absorbed by the body. This enzyme is also found in saliva.
Shortage may cause:
- Diarrhoea due to the effects of undigested starch in the colon.
Reasons to Take Pancreatic Enzymes
Pancreatic insufficiency is the inability of the pancreas to secrete the enzymes needed for digestion. Having an insufficient amount of pancreatic enzymes is very common among people with pancreatic cancer. When the pancreas does not produce enough enzymes to break down food, pancreatic enzyme products are needed. Doctors sometimes prescribe digestive enzymes, including pancreatic enzymes, to patients who have conditions that cause poor absorption. These products help improve digestion and absorption of food.
Some of the conditions that may cause pancreatic insufficiency include surgery (Whipple procedure or total pancreatectomy), blockage or narrowing of the pancreatic or biliary duct (the tubes that carry pancreatic juice or bile), pancreatic or duodenal tumors, cystic fibrosis or pancreatitis.
Some of the symptoms associated with pancreatic enzyme insufficiency include:
- feelings of indigestion
- cramping after meals
- large amounts of gas
- foul smelling gas or stools
- floating or greasy/fatty stools
- light-coloured, yellow or orange stools
- frequent stools
- loose stools
- weight loss
Patients with these symptoms should discuss with their medical team whether taking supplemental pancreatic enzymes may be beneficial for them.
About 25% of patients who have the Whipple procedure will have long-term malabsorption and will need to take supplemental enzymes for life. Other patients may need enzymes for a few months or years after surgery. Patients who have radiation therapy along with the Whipple procedure are much more likely to have long-term malabsorption. Fat absorption usually does not return to normal in these patients even if they are taking enzyme replacement products. In this case, the goal is to eliminate diarrhoea, restore adequate nutrition and prevent weight loss.
Pancreatic function. Pancreatic enzyme supplementation has a long history of use in the medical and nutrition literature. The presence of cofactors such as colipase, a pancreatic peptide, and calcium, which is needed to activate many proteolytic enzymes, enhance the effectiveness of pancreatic enzymes.
Glandular therapy, or organotherapy, refers to the use of specific animal tissues and cell preparations to improve physiologic functioning and to support the natural healing process. In the 1930’s, when glandular use in clinical practice was commonplace, physicians such as Henry Harrower, M.D., W. Powell Cortrille, D. O., Francis Pottenger, M.D. and Royal Lee, D. D. S. emphasised the importance of supplementation with glandular's.
In traditional cultures pancreas was fed to people with digestive and endocrine problems.
Pancreatic extracts are rich in enzymes required to break down fats, proteins (proteolytic). Most commonly, pancreatic enzymes are used for pancreas insufficiencies, which may be characterised by impaired digestion, malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies, and abdominal discomfort.*[1].Nutrient dense organs and glands can provide great benefit for those seeking targeted support for corresponding organ and glands.

Ultra Pure
— Our product is 100% pure. This means that you won't see any additives that most supplement companies include to reduce costs and that compromise quality (stearates, silica, etc) —
Freeze Dried
— Our product is 100% freeze dried in contrast to the heat processed varieties. This means that you get more nourishment from heat sensitive vitamins, minerals and co-factors that make organ meats so powerfully nourishing —
Organ meats were a staple of our early ancestors' diets as the ultimate superfood, for good reason. It turns out, this nourishing tradition is backed by science..."Radioisotope labelling studies in animals have shown conclusively that, when eaten, organs and glands selectively travel to the corresponding organs and glands in high concentrations. This research, done at the University of Scotland in Edinburgh, lends credence to the ancient practice of eating animal organs to help ensure health in one’s corresponding organs..."- Dr. Ron Schmid, ND.*[3]
Our early ancestors knew this, which is why their traditional diets included the frequent and nourishing consumption of nose-to-tail organ meats.
